Shutdown status Updated 3 min read

Amino app status

Current status of the Amino app, aminoapps.com, the App Store and Google Play listings, and account access, with the date we last checked and the method we used, so you can re-run it yourself.

Short answer

Amino is not operational. It ceased all operations on 19 December 2025. The iOS and Android apps are gone from their stores, aminoapps.com does not run the application, and sign-in does not work. Amino support has confirmed the shutdown and stated that personal data is no longer retained, so there is no recovery or export path.

A short, dated status page. What works, what doesn't, when we last checked, and the method, so you can re-run every check yourself instead of trusting a page you found on the internet.

How we check, and how you can

These are the exact checks behind the table. None need any tooling, and all take under two minutes together:

  1. Store listings. Search the App Store and Google Play for the app by name. An absent listing is the single most decisive signal available, live products don't get delisted during outages.
  2. Domain response. Load https://aminoapps.com in a private window. Note whether you get an error, a placeholder, or a working application. The three are very different and get conflated constantly.
  3. Sign-in. If any login form is reachable, note whether submitting it produces a session or an error. Do not use real credentials for this, see the warning below.
  4. Independent probe. Use an uptime checker that probes from multiple countries and reports the actual HTTP response, rather than a complaint aggregator. This separates “down for you” from “down for everyone”.
  5. Official channels. Check for any statement from the platform's owners. There has been none.

Don't test sign-in with a real password. Nothing on the public web can currently validate an Amino credential, there's no live service to check it against. Any page that appears to accept your old login is recording it. If you've already done this somewhere, change that password anywhere else you used it.

What “not operational” rules out

Being precise about this saves people a lot of wasted effort:

  • Not a regional block. A VPN changes nothing.
  • Not a device or OS problem. Same result everywhere.
  • Not a maintenance window. Maintenance ends. This hasn't changed across an extended period.
  • Not fixable by reinstalling. And reinstalling is actively costly, delete the app and you can't get it back, because the listing is gone. See is aminoapps down.
  • Not recoverable via an APK. The client isn't the problem; the servers are. Why the APK doesn't help.

If the status ever changes

A revival would be immediately and obviously visible: the store listings would return, the domain would serve a working application, and sign-in would produce a session. Those are checkable in under two minutes by anyone, which is why claims about Amino coming back should be easy to verify and are worth ignoring until they are.

We update this page when the checks return something different, and move the verified date when we do. Our approach to that is written up in our editorial standards. Background reading: why Amino shut down, and whether it's coming back.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Amino app working in 2026?

No. The mobile apps are not available in the App Store or Google Play, the website does not run the application, and sign-in does not work. There is no partial functionality to fall back on.

How often is this page checked?

We re-run the checks when we update this page, and the date under 'Last verified' is the date we last ran them, not the date we last edited a sentence. The checks themselves are listed below so you can repeat them independently.

Has anything changed recently?

No. Every check has returned the same result across an extended period. If the status changes we will update this page and move the verified date.

Is there any official status page from Amino?

Not that we can find. The platform's owners have not published a status page, an incident history, or a shutdown notice.
